About CalculateFox
Who runs CalculateFox, why the calculators are free, how the site is funded, and what it deliberately does not do.
What this site is
CalculateFox is a small collection of free calculators for the things people work out every week: how old they are, how many days until something, what a discount leaves on the price, how many hours they were actually paid for.
Every page follows the same order. The answer comes first and updates as you type. Underneath it you get the formula, a worked example with real numbers, and the edge cases that change the result. That order is the whole point of the site: a number without a method is hard to trust and impossible to check.
Who runs it
CalculateFox is an independent project. It is not affiliated with any government body, bank, insurer or medical organisation, and nothing published here is official guidance. Pages that touch health or money name their sources and their review date rather than implying an authority the site does not have.
How it stays free
There are no accounts, no subscriptions and no paywalled results. The site is funded by advertising, which appears on pages once an ad network approves it. Ads are labelled in the page’s language, kept away from the result panel, and have reserved space so the page does not jump. No advertiser sees or influences a calculation, and no advertiser can ask us to change one.
What we deliberately do not do
- No accounts and no uploads. Everything is calculated in your browser.
- No personalised advice. A calculator can tell you a number. It cannot tell you whether that number applies to your contract, your tax situation or your health.
- No invented expertise. There are no stock-photo authors or made-up credentials on this site.
- No page for every phrasing of a question. One page per question, answered properly, instead of dozens of thin variations.
If something here is wrong, the contact page explains how to tell us and what happens next.
